Please review our Store Policy in full before placing your order. If you have a question about a specific unit that is not answered below, please contact us before purchasing.
Will my wig look exactly like the wig shown on the model?
The model photos are provided to demonstrate the color, design, styling, and overall appearance of the unit.
The Model Details section of the product description will identify the length and lace size worn by the model when applicable.
Your finished unit will be prepared according to the specifications you select when placing your order, which may differ from those shown on the model.
What if I select a different length or lace size than the model is wearing?
You will receive the specifications you selected and purchased.
For example, if the model is wearing a 24” unit with a 6x6 lace closure but you purchase a 20” unit with a 5x5 lace closure, your finished unit will reflect your 20” and 5x5 selections.
Changing the length, lace size, styling, or other available options may cause your finished unit to look somewhat different from the model photos.
Can I change the color or toning of a wig shown in the collection?
The color and toning shown for a particular wig are part of that unit’s design and are not automatically interchangeable.
If the color of a listed unit is not what you desire, please browse our collection for another available design.
If you would like a color or design that is not currently offered, please submit a Custom Wig Request before purchasing.
Can the color look slightly different in person?
Yes. Hair color may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, the starting color of the hair, and the customization process.
Because custom coloring and toning are performed by hand, reasonable variations may occur between individually prepared units.
Are handmade variations normal?
Yes. Each customized unit is individually prepared by hand.
Reasonable variations may occur in coloring, toning, highlights, placement, layers, curls, cutting, styling, lace customization, and other handcrafted details.
These reasonable handmade variations are part of the customization process and are not automatically considered defects.
What should I review before placing my order?
Please carefully review the product photos, product description, model details, length, lace size, cap size or measurements when applicable, color, parting, styling, lace-cutting preference, processing time, and all other selections associated with your order.
If you are unsure about any selection, please contact us before completing your purchase.
Which lace size is best for me, and what’s the difference?
A 5x5 or 6x6 closure offers more versatility. You can switch between a middle part and side parts at any time. The 6x6 provides slightly more lace coverage and parting space.
A 2x6 closure is limited to a middle part, making it a great choice if you prefer a simple, consistent style.
Please keep in mind that if the lace begins to thin or bald in a specific area over time, your parting options may become limited.
Are The Kaysh Way wigs customized?
Yes. Our units may be customized according to the specifications and services available for the particular wig you select.
Depending on the unit, available selections may include length, lace size, cap size, measurements, parting, styling, lace cutting, and other preparation options.
Your selections are used to prepare your individual order.
What is the difference between a wig from the collection and a Custom Wig Request?
Wigs listed in our collection are established The Kaysh Way designs. You select from the available specifications and customization options offered for that particular design.
A Custom Wig Request is intended for customers seeking a color, design, or overall look that is not currently offered in our existing collection.
Can I request modifications that are not listed on the product page?
Please contact us before ordering if you want something that is not offered as an available selection.
Do not place an order assuming an unlisted modification can be accommodated. We will let you know whether your request requires a Custom Wig Request or another service.
Can I change my selections after placing my order?
Changes are not guaranteed after an order has been submitted.
Preparation, ordering of materials, coloring, construction, or customization may begin shortly after purchase. Please verify all selections before completing checkout.
If you notice an error after ordering, contact us as soon as possible. Whether a change can be made will depend on the status of your order.
What does requesting lace cutting mean?
Selecting lace cutting authorizes The Kaysh Way to permanently alter the lace by cutting it according to the preparation option selected.
Once lace has been cut, it cannot be restored to its original uncut condition.
Please select your lace-cutting preference carefully when ordering.
What color will my lace/scalp area be?
Our lace is professionally prepared to create a neutral, natural scalp-like appearance.
It is not individually color-matched to every customer’s exact complexion unless a specific service expressly states otherwise.
Will my lace look exactly like my skin tone when it arrives?
Not necessarily.
Skin tones and undertones vary significantly. The final appearance of lace can also be affected by lighting, installation technique, adhesive, makeup, lace tint, and other factors.
Additional personal blending may be desired to achieve your preferred finish.
What can I use to blend my lace with my complexion?
Depending on your preference and installation method, makeup, powder, lace tint, or other appropriate lace-blending products may be used to personalize the appearance.
Please visit our Install Help page for additional lace preparation and blending guidance.
Why might my lace look different from the model’s lace?
The model’s complexion, undertone, lighting, makeup, installation method, and photography may all affect how the lace appears.
Product photographs demonstrate the intended overall appearance but do not guarantee that lace will appear identical or completely invisible on every complexion.
What type of hair do you use?
The Kaysh Way uses quality human hair selected for its appearance, versatility, and longevity.
Please review the individual product listing for information specific to the unit you are purchasing.
How long can my wig last?
A quality human-hair wig can last for years with appropriate care, but there is no guaranteed lifespan.
Longevity depends on frequency of wear, installation and removal methods, heat use, products, chemical processing, maintenance, storage, lace care, and overall handling.
The lace is typically the most delicate part of a unit and may require maintenance or replacement before the hair itself.
Is shedding normal?
Some shedding is normal with human-hair wigs, just as natural hair sheds.
A small amount of loose hair may also be present following customization, styling, cutting, layering, or lace preparation.
Excessive or unusual shedding should be documented and reported promptly if you believe there may be an issue with your unit.
Are shorter hairs normal on a wig?
Some shorter strands may be present due to ventilation, construction, customization, layering, styling, or cutting.
A reasonable amount of shorter hair does not automatically indicate that a unit is damaged or defective.
What is the difference between a 5x5 and 6x6 closure?
A 5x5 closure provides approximately five inches of lace across the front and approximately five inches of parting space.
A 6x6 closure provides additional lace coverage and parting space, allowing for more flexibility around the front and parting area.
Your preferred option depends on the look, styling flexibility, and coverage you desire.
Do your wigs fit all head sizes?
Fit depends on the cap construction and the sizing or measurements associated with your order.
For units requiring customer measurements, your wig will be prepared using the information you provide.
Accurate measurements are essential for the best possible fit.
What if I submit the wrong cap size or measurements?
Customers are responsible for reviewing and submitting accurate sizing information.
If a unit is prepared according to the cap size or measurements submitted with the order, fit issues caused by inaccurate customer-provided information are not considered a product defect.
If you are unsure about your size, please contact us before ordering.
How do I measure my head?
Please follow our measurement instructions carefully and measure your head as directed.
Measurement video is located on our Instagram: @thekayshway.wigspecialist — located in the highlights, under 📏
Round up to the next whole number if you get half. For example if you measure at 21.5”, round up to 22”; or 21.25”, round up to 22”
If you are unsure about your measurements, please contact us for assistance before submitting your order.
How long does it take to receive my wig?
Processing and shipping are separate.
Our current regular processing times are:
Natural Black Wigs: Up to 21 business days.
Custom/Color Wigs: Up to 28 business days.
Our current expedited processing times are:
Natural Black Wigs: Up to 14 business days.
Custom/Color Wigs: Up to 21 business days.
Business days are Monday–Friday and do not include weekends or holidays.
Please review our Store Policy for complete processing information.
Does processing time include shipping?
No.
Processing time is the time required to prepare and complete your order. Shipping time begins after your completed order has been transferred to the shipping carrier.
How long does shipping take?
Regular Shipping: Approximately 3–5 business days.
Expedited Shipping: Approximately 1–3 business days.
Carrier delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by circumstances outside of The Kaysh Way’s control.
How will I know when my order ships?
Tracking information will be provided using the contact information associated with your order once your package has been prepared for shipment.
Please make sure your email address and other contact information are correct when ordering.
Can my order be delayed?
Occasionally.
Processing or delivery may be affected by order volume, product availability, customization requirements, holidays, weather, carrier delays, or other unexpected circumstances.
Please remember that processing estimates are provided in business days.
Can I rush my order?
When expedited processing is available, it will be offered as an option.
Expedited processing reduces the estimated preparation period; it does not mean that customization is skipped or that an order will ship immediately.
Does my wig arrive ready to wear?
Your wig is professionally prepared and styled according to the services and specifications associated with your order.
However, ready to wear does not mean that every customer will require absolutely no personal adjustment or blending.
Depending on your complexion, head shape, desired fit, installation preference, and selected lace preparation, minor adjustments or personal lace blending may be desired.
Please review our Install Help page for additional guidance.
Does my wig come installed?
No. Purchasing a wig and receiving a professional wig installation are separate services unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Do I need a professional installation?
A professional installation may be helpful if you are unfamiliar with lace wigs or want assistance achieving a particular finished look.
Installation technique can significantly affect fit, lace appearance, blending, and the overall finished result.
Are your wigs glueless?
Many units may be worn glueless depending on construction, fit, head shape, and personal preference.
However, “glueless” does not guarantee that every customer will achieve the same fit or appearance without any additional securing, adjustment, or blending.
Can I cut or alter the lace myself?
Yes, but lace is delicate and should be handled carefully.
Once lace is cut or otherwise altered, the change generally cannot be reversed. If you are unfamiliar with lace preparation, we recommend seeking professional assistance.
How should I care for my wig?
Use quality products appropriate for human hair, detangle gently, avoid unnecessary product buildup, minimize excessive heat, and store your wig properly when it is not being worn.
Always handle the lace carefully.
How often should I wash my wig?
There is no universal washing schedule.
Frequency depends on how often you wear the wig, your installation method, sweating, styling products, and product buildup.
Overwashing or improper washing may contribute to dryness, tangling, shedding, and premature wear.
Can I use heat on my wig?
Human-hair wigs can generally be heat styled.
However, excessive temperatures or frequent heat use can damage the hair and shorten its lifespan. We recommend using an appropriate heat protectant and temperature.
How long will the curls/style last?
Styling longevity varies.
Humidity, weather, products, frequency of wear, sleep routine, maintenance, and the type of styling performed can all affect how long curls or other styling lasts.
Restyling will be necessary over time.
Can I recolor my wig?
Additional coloring or chemical processing can affect hair that has already been customized.
We recommend consulting an experienced professional before recoloring a unit.
The Kaysh Way cannot guarantee the condition or results of coloring, chemical processing, or alterations performed after delivery by the customer or another stylist.
How should I store my wig?
Store your wig clean, dry, and protected.
A wig stand, mannequin head, or appropriate storage bag can help protect the unit and maintain its style.
Do not store your wig while wet.
How long does lace last?
Lace does not have a guaranteed lifespan because it is a delicate material.
Its longevity depends on frequency of wear, installation, removal, adhesive use, cleaning, maintenance, and handling.
Repeated pulling, scratching, excessive adhesive, aggressive cleaning, or improper removal may damage lace.
Can my lace be replaced?
In many cases, lace replacement may be possible depending on the construction and overall condition of the unit.
Please contact us for an assessment before sending a wig for repair.
Do you offer wig maintenance or revamp services?
Maintenance, revamp, restyling, and lace replacement services may be available depending on the condition and construction of the wig.
Please review our current services or contact us for more information.
Do you offer returns, exchanges, or refunds?
Due to the customized and personal nature of our wigs, ALL WIG PURCHASES ARE FINAL SALE.
NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
Please carefully review your product selections and order information before completing your purchase.
Please review our Store Policy for complete terms and any exceptions required by applicable law.
What should I do if I believe something is wrong with my wig when it arrives?
Please contact us promptly after delivery with your order number, a detailed explanation of the concern, and clear photographs and/or video showing the issue.
Whenever possible, do not install, wear, wash, cut, color, chemically process, restyle, alter, or further customize the unit before contacting us.
This allows us to properly evaluate the condition in which the unit was received.
What if my wig doesn’t match the specifications I ordered?
First, review your order confirmation and compare the unit with the specifications you selected.
Remember that the specifications shown on the model may differ from the specifications you selected and purchased.
If you believe your unit does not match your confirmed order specifications, please contact us promptly so the order can be reviewed.
Does wearing or altering the wig affect my ability to report an issue?
You may always contact us regarding a concern. However, wearing, installing, washing, cutting, coloring, chemically processing, altering, or further customizing a unit can make it difficult or impossible to determine its original condition.
For that reason, customers should inspect their unit carefully upon delivery and contact us before altering or using it whenever possible if they believe there is an issue.
What payment methods do you accept?
Current payment options are displayed at checkout and may change periodically.
Do you offer payment plans?
When available, installment or financing options will appear during checkout.
Third-party payment-plan providers establish their own eligibility requirements, approvals, payment schedules, and terms.
What is Wig Insurance?
Wig Insurance is an optional service designed to provide additional maintenance-related benefits for qualifying units according to the coverage offered at the time of purchase.
Please review the complete Wig Insurance description, eligibility requirements, coverage, exclusions, and limitations before purchasing.
Does Wig Insurance cover everything that happens to my wig?
No.
Wig Insurance does not mean unlimited coverage for all damage, wear, improper care, alterations, installation issues, loss, or other circumstances.
Coverage is limited to the specific benefits and terms included with the Wig Insurance option purchased.
Do you offer consultations?
When available, consultations can provide additional guidance regarding wig selection, sizing, construction, customization, color, styling, and maintenance.
Please review our current consultation options for availability.
I’m new to wigs. What should I choose?
Consider your desired maintenance level, lifestyle, installation experience, styling goals, lace preference, and budget.
Closure wigs are often a great starting point for customers seeking versatility with manageable maintenance.
If you are unsure which unit is right for you, please contact us before placing your order.
What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
Please contact us before purchasing if you need clarification about a product, measurement, customization option, lace size, color, installation, or service.
